It's never too late to make a change for the better
I have done many years of one on one personal training and this is so superior as you still receive personal attention in a much more fun upbeat group setting. In a group setting, the friendships are amazing and we become each other's cheerleaders to take our workout to the next level. If you see your friend doing it, you can too. That just doesn't happen in a one on one.
I have had life changing benefits from being with Maureen. I have learned to trust my body with her coaching. I have a disability in my right leg and with Maureen's constant inspiration of trust your leg, you can do it, I have. I could barely go up stairs previously, going from a sitting to a standing position was difficult and bending that leg near impossible. Now I can do all of these including much improved balance. I have reached a weight loss goal that I never dreamed possible and have transformed by body. Going from a size 10 to 6, dropped 20 lbs of fat, I also have boundless energy.

OH MY GOSH…OH MY GOSH…OH MY GOSH!!!
I am soooooo excited! I just had to tell you about this!!!! I had to meet with my Doctor today to go over the results of my annual physical. She can believe the difference!!! I have lost 25.5 lbs., cholesterol is lower and sugar is lower! She is just thrilled…and so am I! She does not want to see me for another year! No medication…no nothing! Just keep up with the Boot Camp and diet!!! The entire office was going crazy! She wants to come with me now! Her name is Dr. Anit Ford…maybe you know her? She has some nurses that she wants to come too!! I am going to send them to your website and I told them about the 2-week Free thing. They were all very excited!!!

I came to Maureen and Sarasota Adventure Boot Camp straight from rehab for a blown knee, which included complete tears to both my ACL and MCL. Opting not to jump right into ACL replacement surgery, I took the advice of my doctor and my therapist and followed up with Maureen. The idea was to take advantage of her expertise as an athletic trainer, a strength and conditioning specialist, and a fellow ‘ACL deficient’ and to spend six months working to regain complete stability and full range of motion.
The idea was a good one.
Maureen never let me take unnecessary risks, but always pushed me to do what she knew I could – and should – first with a brace and soon without. When the six-month marker arrived, my orthopedic specialist gave me a clean bill of health, commenting on how quickly my quads had recovered and adding, with a smile more pleased than begrudging, ‘I’m a surgeon, and you don’t need surgery.’
After a year, I’m still at Boot Camp with Maureen for a number of very good reasons: I love the workouts themselves, I love the results (I can do everything I want – biking, hiking, horseback riding – even with more confidence and energy than I did before), and I love having Maureen in my corner. When I first injured my knee, I did a lot of research about rehab techniques and philosophies. The most encouraging material (and, admittedly, the most difficult to accept at the time) suggested that the key to successful rehab is to look at is anopportunity, as a chance to come out the other side as a better athlete, not just restored, but improved. Thanks to Maureen and Sarasota Adventure Boot Camp, that’s exactly what happened.

Joining Sarasota Adventure Boot Camp literally changed my life. I was overweight and short of breath doing the least of tasks and knew I needed something to kick start my metabolism. I had witnessed a fabulous change in the physique of a friend of mine and asked what her secret was – SABC she said! I signed up, and a few programs later I was several pounds lighter, several inches smaller, and best of all I could walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded. Even more telling was my annual visit to my doctor. He was impressed with the changes and most impressed with the drop in my cholesterol, just a mere 37 points! Maureen is wonderful and has a great sense of humor! She is very knowledgeable and “hands-on”. She is very quick to correct poor form and demonstrates each exercise. I still don’t know how she remembers everyone’s ailments, but she does and she always has an alternate way to perform an exercise to minimize stress and chances of injury. Having an alternate method is also great for addressing the different fitness levels of the group. This way everyone can do the entire routine. It really helps to build confidence and encourages you to try harder as your fitness level changes. I lost 10 lbs. in 8 weeks! More importantly, the confidence I gained is even greater! Thank You!

I’m Sharon Anderson, a 58 year old woman who found a way to peel off those unwanted pounds and inches of fat that “mysteriously” appeared on my body after menopause. Before I knew it I had gained weight and inches in my chest and waist. I’d always focused on the hips, being a pear shaped woman. Now I had to worry about my waist and chest in addition to my butt and hips. I could not diet away the added weight and inches like I had in my younger days when I had a metabolism that functioned properly. I needed to do something significantly different. I needed a “Kick in the BUTT” (it’s all about the BUTT at boot camp) and enrolled in Maureen Corristan’s Adventure Boot Camp in Sarasota, FL. I didn’t think I could get up and exercise at 5:45 in the morning but since I needed to make some major changes I signed up for the three times a week boot camp. After attending two sessions of three times a week, I increased to at-tending the five days a week sessions. Maureen training is helping me be functionally fit. The interval circuit, core and weight training she has us do has helped me with my balance, endurance, energy level, flexibility, muscle strength, tone up and lose weight.
Maureen stresses the importance of good nutrition along with exercise. At the July’s boot camp Maureen directed us to a meal plan that corresponds to the intensity of our workouts. I attended boot camp 5 days a week for those four weeks and followed the meal plan. I not only lost weight but what excited me most was the inches that I lost in my chest, waist and hip measurements.
I’m very encouraged by my success in slimming down and becoming fit (I’m still a work in progress). I have proven to myself that I can to this. Maureen keeps the workouts fresh (she’s very funny) and challenging.. She corrects my form when it needs it and encourages me to do more. Her knowledge of fitness is extensive and she practices what she preaches. She is passionate about helping women be functionally fit through good nutrition and exercise. I’m thrilled to be attending her boot camp and plan on staying with the program.
